The primary objectives of this project are:
The chosen site for the orchard has been carefully selected based on soil quality, water availability, and climatic conditions. Preliminary soil tests have been conducted to ensure optimal growing conditions. The soil will be enriched with organic matter, and an efficient irrigation system will be installed to maximize water use efficiency.
The orchard will be meticulously planned to optimize space and resources. Trees will be planted with adequate spacing to ensure proper sunlight, air circulation, and ease of maintenance. Intercropping techniques will be employed by planting short-term crops between the fruit trees in the garden. It will provide additional income to farmers during the early stages of the orchard’s development.
Regular maintenance practices such as pruning, training, and pest management will be implemented to ensure the health and productivity of the orchard. Integrated pest management (IPM) strategies will be employed to minimize the use of chemicals, promoting a healthier ecosystem.
